Here are some of my favorite ways to help make sure my skin stays vibrant and clean!
- Water, Water, and More Water
Fresh water flushes out toxins from your body, boosts your metabolism, and helps hydrate your skin. You should try to drink between 2 and 2.5 liters of water per day and your skin will begin to glow with hydration! Drinking enough water can be a struggle and it is hard to constantly remind yourself to drink water. Adding fruit to your water can help make the experience more fun, while adding extra vitamins to your water! Plus it tastes yummy too.
- Eat a Plentiful Amount of Fruits and Vegetables
The antioxidants and nutrients in fruits and vegetables keep your pores clear and help fight the bad bacteria in your body. They can also keep your skin from aging and give you a youthful glow.
- Exercise Daily
I know this is not always easy, but exercising, even for a short period of time, can make a huge difference in your skin. Sweating can help empty your pores and the blood flow carries nutrients throughout your entire body. All forms of exercise are great for your body and skin, so do what works best for you and have fun!
- Maintain a Schedule
Taking the time to wash your face every morning and night (and rarely going to bed with makeup on) can greatly improve your skin and does not take too much effort.
Pick out your favorite facial scrub (or make your own) and exfoliate at least three times per week to remove dead skin cells and brighten your face even more.
Moisturizing is a basic but important part of a facial routine and helps hydrate and replenish your skin. I have found that rose oil is amazing if you need extra hydration and always leaves my skin glowing.
- Apply Sunscreen
The last tip seems obvious, but can have a big impact on your skin. Sunscreen, or even foundation with SPF, can protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays and help create an even skin tone.
I hope some of these tips can help you strengthen and restore your beautiful skin!
