Netflix. A place of pure happiness and joy, but at the same time completely life-ruining. I love coming home from a long, busy week and relaxing with some snacks and my favorite TV show. Or going to a friend’s house and watching five movies in a row while eating ice cream. Usually Netflix is the best, but sometimes it is the black hole of procrastination. When the next episode plays automatically and you tell yourself, “just one more episode.” Then, all of the sudden it is 2am and you watched an entire season of a show and forgot about your homework.
I still love you Netflix 🙂
Here are some of my favorite TV shows to watch on Netflix! I am very afraid of any movie or show that is even remotely scary and prefer to watch fun comedies that make me laugh (as you can see from the list below).
This show is not at the top of the list by coincidence. I can watch this show over and over again and laugh just as hard as I did the first time. Six best friends show us the ups and downs of life in your twenties, while living in New York City. From Phoebe’s wackiness to Chandler’s sarcasm, this show always makes me happy and feel good.
I was not so sure about this show at first because I usually just stick to light and funny shows, but after a couple episodes of this show I was hooked. GG is probably one of the most addictive shows I have ever watched and you will never get over Serena’s wardrobe or BLair Waldorf’s wonderful life advice 🙂
I truly believe this show is an accurate representation of a modern family. I love watching this show because it features events that normally do happen in family life. This show definitely always makes me laugh and sometimes it is nice to enjoy a little family humor.
Jessica Day always makes me laugh. As you can see I like shows that make me laugh, but Jessica Day is a unique character. She moves into a loft with three male roommates, who soon become her best friends and teach her the ways of the world. The dynamic between Jess and her roommates is hilarious and I definitely recommend this show.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
I actually discovered this show pretty recently and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The show is kind of odd, but great if you want a little quirky and fluffy humor. Kimmy is released after being kept in an underground bunker for 15 years. What does she do first? Move to New York! You can imagine the funny struggles she might have in a big city after having been kept underground for 15 years!
These are just five of my recent favorites on Netflix, but there are obviously many more choices. Let me know in the comments below what your favorite shows have been lately!
